The story of the summer might be Morgan Rogers for a couple of reasons, not least Liverpool’s serious interest in bringing him to Anfield.
It could be a big few months for the Aston Villa ace, who looks like starting for England at the World Cup. Rogers has been immense on the international stage.
At the club level, his future remains unclear. Liverpool have been linked to Rogers for quite some time.
However, with a contract at Villa Park until 2031, any sale would be for £100 million or more.

A new TEAMtalk report claims recent rumours of fresh talks with Liverpool are wide of the mark. Sources close to the player say no contact has been made with the many interested parties around Europe.
It does, however, confirm Liverpool are ‘long-term admirers’ of Rogers and ‘remain hugely keen’ on moving for him in the summer.
