Injured Chelsea player announces he's back'soon'on Instagram

Filip Jorgensen is nearing the end of his month-long rehabilitation at Cobham, with the goalkeeper providing an update on his situation at Chelsea ahead of a crucial run of fixtures.

Chelsea‘s goalkeeper situation has been pretty much fixed all season. Despite a change of manager, Robert Sanchez has kept the number one spot ahead of Filip Jorgensen.

Jorgensen made his first appearance under Liam Rosenior against Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup, where he failed to keep a clean sheet.

However, he was forced off with an injury 45 minutes into his display against Pafos in the Champions League, which saw Robert Sanchez come on in his place.

And now the goalkeeper has provided an update on his situation.

Filip Jorgensen will be returning ‘soon’ after Chelsea injury

Speaking on his personal Instagram story, Filip Jorgensen provided an update on his injury after almost a month out on the sidelines.

The message said, ‘Rehab days, back on the pitch soon 💪🏻’.

This comes after Jorgensen was in contention to return to the fold against Hull City in the FA Cup at the weekend.

However, it seems as if he could potentially be back this weekend or even the week after, depending on how far ahead he is with this rehab.

Liam Rosenior has been impressed with Jorgensen, but until the FA Cup fifth round tie against Wrexham next month, it’s unlikely that Jorgensen will see any game time.
