NASCAR Chairman and CEO Jim France (L) congratulates Michael Jordan, NBA Hall of Famer and co-owner of 23XI Racing in victory lane after Tyler Reddick, driver of the #45 Chumba Casino Toyota, wins the NASCAR Cup Series Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway on February 15, 2026 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Rapper 50 Cent has reacted to viral clips from Sunday showing Michael Jordan celebrating his NASCAR team’s Daytona 500 victory, in which the NBA legend allegedly made improper contact with driver Tyler Reddick’s son.

“WTF are you doing Mike,” 50 Cent wrote on IG, reacting to a clip of Jordan repeatedly pinching the lower back of Reddick’s son, Beau.

“If I have to put these sneaker back I’m a [expletive] you up. WTF are ya doing playing with the baby a–!”

Through another IG post, 50 Cent reacted to clips of a fan throwing away his various pairs of Air Jordan sneakers out of disgust for his basketball hero.

“😆LOL wait are yall sure we not [expletive] with Jordan because I got a bunch of these.@50centaction,” added the rapper.

For what it’s worth, neither Jordan’s representatives nor 23XI Racing has issued a statement addressing the incident. Furthermore, Nike has remained silent about clips of fans dumping or burning their Air Jordan shoes.

While new footage suggests Jordan was likely helping the child remove debris and/or ice during the celebration, many fans and analysts aren’t ready to give Jordan a pass just yet.

Radio personality Bubba The Love Sponge feels Jordan is being unfairly maligned.

“Michael Jordan reaching into Tyler Reddick’s son’s waistband went viral fast,” he wrote on X. “But if you actually watch it closely, you can see chunks of ice packed in the kid’s back. First glance looks bad. Second glance looks like someone helping a kid who had ice shoved down his shirt.”

One user fired back at Bubba and others who’ve tried to justify Jordan’s actions.

“Nope. Theres no ice,” wrote a popular YouTuber. “The kid can reach his own a–. If there’s ice in his SHIRT why does Michael need to pinch and grab the kid’s BUTT CHEEK and bare KNEES? Answer; this is the PR team trying their best to make us think we didn’t see what we definitely saw.”

Michael Jordan Turns 63

Despite Sunday’s controversy, scores of fans, analysts and sporting organizations wished Michael Jordan a 63rd birthday on Tuesday.

FIBA Basketball acknowledged Jordan as the one true G.O.A.T. of basketball, while wishing the 6-time NBA champion on his birthday.

“One and only. 🐐 Join us in wishing Michael Jordan a happy 63rd birthday!”

The NBA History X account reminded fans of all of Jordan’s accoldaes.

“Join us in wishing a Happy 63rd Birthday to 14x #NBAAllStar, 6x NBA champion, 6x #NBAFinals MVP, 5x NBA MVP and 75th Anniversary Team member, Michael Jordan! #NBABDAY.”

Elsewhere, Tyler Reddick, who won Sunday’s Daytona 500, dedicated his victory to Jordan, calling it a birthday present for the 23XI Racing co-owner.

“To do it for someone likeMichael Jordan is, for myself, a dream come true,” Reddick told ESPN’s “Get Up” on Tuesday of his Daytona 500 victory.
