Broncos may be getting an idea of cost for A.J. Brown as two more predictions send him to Denver

The Denver Broncos will be expected to add a playmaker at the wide receiver position ahead of the 2026 season. Courtland Sutton is a good option, but most would agree that the team needs to give Bo Nix a better one.

There are plenty of options out there for the team. The Broncos could use the No. 30 overall pick in the first round of the draft to select a wide receiver out of college, or they could look at options such as Deebo Samuel, Alec Pierce or Wan'dale Robinson in free agency.

The third option would be to trade for one. George Pickens of the Dallas Cowboys is set to become an unrestricted free agent, but the Cowboys are expected to place the franchise tag on him. Even if he is tagged, there are those who feel the Broncos could still orchestrate a trade for him.

However, the idea that seems to be the one that is most talked about is a trade between the Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles in which the Broncos would obtain three-time Pro-Bowl wide receiver A.J. Brown.

Will the Broncos trade for A.J. Brown?

Recently, two more trade predictions sent the Super Bowl champion to the Mile High City.

Tyler Sullivan of CBS Sports feels a trade between the Broncos and Eagles could take place in which the Broncos could get the wide receiver for a third and sixth-round pick in this year's draft.

"Denver is coming off a 2025 season where it won the AFC West and was the No. 1 seed in the conference. However, now is not the time to rest on your laurels, as the AFC is expected to be far more competitive in 2026, and one of the areas of improvement for the Broncos could come at receiver. The organization has been rumored to be looking for a wide receiver for a while now, and Brown would be a major splash, pairing him alongside Courtland Sutton. Bo Nix having those two at his disposal in the red zone, along with Sean Payton orchestrating the offense, could prove to be extremely lethal, especially when complemented by arguably the best defense in the league", wrote Sullivan.

Joining him in that thought was Bill Barnwell of ESPN, who recently suggested the Broncos should send Riley Moss, a second-round pick in 2026 and a fifth-round pick to the Eagles in exchange for Brown.

Sullivan's proposal would get Brown to the Broncos in a more cost-friendly way. Barnwell's proposal is a bit steep. The true answer as to what it would cost to land Brown is probably somewhere in the middle.

It seems that Brown and the Eagles are headed for a split, one way or another. But a big part of that is due to the negative attitude displayed by Brown, seemingly when he's not thrown the ball enough. Is that the kind of player Sean Payton wants to insert into his locker room?

That would be the biggest question for the team to answer when considering this deal, which is becoming more and more popular. Brown's talent is not in question, but the Broncos will need to thoroughly research the situation.
