Simon Jordan wants further answers after Jurgen Klopp was reportedly approached by Chelsea and Manchester United.
The Blues and the Red Devils both made changes in the dugout last month. Chelsea parted ways with Enzo Maresca while Ruben Amorim left Old Trafford.
Both clubs made fast appointments to replace the managers with the incomers hitting the ground running. Liam Rosenior has impressed at Stamford Bridge and interim head coach Michael Carrick has galvanised Old Trafford.
Klopp had promised to never manage another Premier League club when he left Anfield in 2024 but now, the German’s agent Marc Kosicke has claimed that both Chelsea and Manchester United made enquiries about his availability. TEAMtalk reports that both sides have now denied the suggestions put forward by Kosicke. It’s added that the teams ‘never considered’ appointing Klopp.

Reacting to the news on talkSPORT this morning, Jordan called upon Kosicke to ‘put his head above the parapet’ and explain his claims further.
He said: “He may have had some conversations with representatives from these football clubs. It may have been very loose and he might have chosen to interpret it... we know how football agents work. We saw how they worked with [Alexander] Isak - deciding they had heard something that people might not have said how they chose to interpret it.
“Having a loose conversation with someone from Manchester United who might have been on the periphery of the board or in a position of influence is now translating into significant inroads. The next question for the agent, if he does pop his head above the parapet again, ‘who did you speak to?’. ‘Who specifically and explicitly?’.
“He’ll then turn around and say he doesn’t want to betray any confidences. Well, too late. That ship has sailed. You’re the one who flew that kite and told everyone that Manchester United and Chelsea had professed interest. Who from those clubs did that?”
In other news, Tottenham huge Premier League attendance compared with Arsenal and Chelsea - another London club is biggest.
