Six players on Lakers radar in offseason plans

The Los Angeles Lakers are exploring offseason moves targeting Tobias Harris, Dean Wade, Quentin Grimes, Andrew Wiggins, Tari Eason, and Peyton Watson.

The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly explored several options for the offseason, targeting players such as Tobias Harris, Dean Wade, Quentin Grimes, Tari Eason, Peyton Watson, and former NBA All-Star Andrew Wiggins, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Addressing the holes in the current roster will require significant cap space, as the Lakers aim to add defenders with length who can also knock down three-pointers around stars Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves.

"Unrestricted free agents who have been discussed internally, sources told ESPN, include Andrew Wiggins and Tari Eason, while Tobias Harris, Quentin Grimes, and Dean Wade are other players who fit that profile," McMenamin reported.

"The Lakers also privately discussed restricted free agent Peyton Watson, sources told ESPN, and could land him if Denver, which already has $215 million in salary committed to returning players for next season, doesn't match the offer sheet."

At the February 5 NBA trade deadline, L.A. completed one move, sending Gabe Vincent and a 2032 second-round pick to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for sharpshooter Luke Kennard.

Questions remain about the Lakers' roster this offseason, including their potential pursuit of Giannis Antetokounmpo and the possibility of welcoming back LeBron James for his 24th NBA season.
