Did Jaylen Waddle request a trade? Viral fake post fools Dolphins, NFL fans

The Miami Dolphins' expected roster purge has begun.

On Monday, the Dolphins officially cut ties with wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and guard James Daniels.

And, reports also revealed the team is going to cut edge rusher Bradley Chubb, although the move isn't official yet.

The next domino expected to fall is quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who is likely to be cut or traded this offseason, according to reports.

Did Jaylen Waddle request a trade?

No, there is no legitimate report out there that Waddle has requested to be traded.

There was a post from an X account named Adam Ferrell saying Waddle has asked to be dealt, and the post has received over 900,000 views and over 17,000 likes.

"Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle reportedly told the Dolphins front office 'me next' after the release of Bradley Chubb and Tyreek Hill. Things are not looking good in Miami," the tweet said.

But upon looking at the account's bio it's clear that this is a parody account and not an actual NFL insider.

And this is yet another reminder to be careful this offseason. There are more parody accounts than we can count and all of them will be looking to cash in on the excitement of the 2026 NFL offseason.

Waddle was the subject of trade rumors before last year's trade deadline and it's not crazy to think he could demand a trade with Miami blowing the roster up.

But as of right now, there is no rumor from a legit source saying that's the case.
