The trade rumors are only heating up surrounding Las Vegas Raiders star pass rusher Maxx Crosby.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport described Crosby’s situation as “complicated” because of his offseason surgery, stating, “This is as complicated a situation as I can remember. I’ll go through the reasons why. One…[The way the season ended] had an effect on him. He wanted to play, it turns out he had a significant knee injury, but he wanted to play and was upset that he did not get to finish on the field with his teammates. …Then he has surgery and it’s not a trim, it’s a repair. It’s… not as major of a repair as it could have been.”

As all this is unfolding, Crosby is turning heads with his recent guest on his show, The Rush With Maxx Crosby.

Maxx Crosby Hosts Caleb Williams on Show Amid Trade Rumors

In Crosby’s latest episode of The Rush With Maxx Crosby, he hosted Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.

The Bears, who are looking to upgrade on the defensive line this offseason, have been a popular team that’s connected to a potential Crosby trade.

Recently, on ESPN’s Trade Proposals That Fit For Both Teams, Bill Barnwell listed a trade pitch that sends Crosby to Chicago, saying “Crosby has resisted trade overtures in the past with the hopes of being part of a Raiders turnaround, but after the star edge rusher was held out late in the season as Las Vegas attempted to (successfully) land the first pick, something seemed to turn. Crosby hasn’t publicly requested a trade, and the Raiders moved on from coach Pete Carroll after the season, but there’s certainly some smoke here.”

Here’s the trade pitch from Barnwell:

Raiders get: WR DJ Moore, 2026 first-round pick

Bears get: Edge Maxx Crosby, 2027 fifth-round pick

It’s interesting timing seeing Crosby host someone like Williams on his show. Nonetheless, the two superstars are close friends and enjoyed chatting over various topics. One of those topics did not include Crosby’s feelings on the trade rumors or his potential interest in playing for the Bears.

And it’s hard to believe the Raiders would let go of Crosby for just Moore and a first-rounder in 2027.

Crosby, Williams Talk on Similar Mindsets

One interesting part of the show was when Crosby and Williams gave each other praise for having a similar mindset.

Williams: “That’s really the biggest challenge for me is like, ‘I know it doesn’t matter how close that defender is, I always feel like I can get…’ same thing for you [Maxx], it doesn’t matter how many chips you get…”

Crosby: “It’s an everyday battle. What’s gotten you to this point is being Superman. What’s gotten me to my level of wrecking games is I feel like I’m Superman. You’re the same way.”

It’s clear that Crosby is a fan of Williams’ game, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll want to join him in Chicago. The Bears, currently at negative $5.3 million in cap space (according to OvertheCap.com), are navigating through potential cuts and restructures in a pivotal offseason and are likely not in a position to trade for someone like Crosby.

However, crazy things have unfolded. Last offseason, no one believed the Dallas Cowboys were going to trade Micah Parsons. Yet, days before the start of the 2025 season, he was traded to the Green Bay Packers. The hope for most Raiders fans is that’s not the case with Crosby.
