Report: Another Seahawks coach leaving for Kubiak's Raiders

Seattle Seahawks run game coordinator and senior offensive advisor Rick Dennison is expected to join new Raiders head coach and former Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak on the Las Vegas coaching staff, CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz reported on social media Monday night.

The reported departure of Dennison, 67, comes after he spent one season with the Seahawks, but it doesn’t come as much surprise considering his longstanding relationship with the Kubiak family.

Dennison, a former NFL linebacker, played eight seasons with the Denver Broncos alongside Klint Kubiak’s dad, former Broncos quarterback Gary Kubiak. Dennison and Gary Kubiak also spent 19 seasons coaching together on the same staffs, including from 2010-13 while Gary Kubiak was the head coach in Houston and 2015-16 when he was the head coach of Denver.

Dennison has also coached alongside Klint Kubiak for six seasons in the NFL and followed him from New Orleans’ staff to Seattle this past season.

Dennison is the second Seahawks coach to follow Klint Kubiak to Las Vegas. Quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko was hired as the Raiders’ new offensive coordinator Sunday.

The Seahawks have reportedly replaced Klint Kubiak with San Francisco 49ers run game coordinator/tight ends coach Brian Fleury.
