The Seahawks dominated New England 29-13 in Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8, and certain Patriots fans are not handling it well, with some making excuses and others eating crow.
Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports and an outspoken Patriots fan, was unhappy about the location of the Super Bowl, which took place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., stating it was “unfair” to New England.
“I think it’s a huge advantage for Seattle playing in the Super Bowl on the West Coast where they live and not having to adjust to the time difference,” Portnoy said in an X video last week. “I’m still all out of whack. I was out of whack when I got there. The Patriots had to be out of whack. It’s unfair…Your body isn’t like ready. Whatever, I won’t make excuses.”
I’m not going to say it because I’m not an excuse guy, but it’s bullshit that Seattle got to play a Super Bowl on the west coast #DDTG pic.twitter.com/Lus4MeV3RZ

Portnoy also posted, “I haven’t stopped thinking about the Super Bowl, and I just gotta say something. If we play them 100 times I think we win 46 of them.”
Andy Hart, the co-host of the WEEI Sports Radio Network in Boston, was irritated by Seattle’s celebrations post-Super Bowl.
Hart said on Friday: “Yeah, you were really good. You won the Super Bowl. You were really impressive. But who the bleep do you think you are? You’re not the (19)85 (Chicago) Bears …
“Win with some class. This is like beating up the weak kid as the bully and bragging that you beat up the weak kid.”

The Ringer’s Bill Simmons, an avid Patriots fan, is also eating crow.
An X account dedicated to posting about Simmons’ podcast, posted a nearly four-minute compilation video of the Seahawks’ Super Bowl LX highlights, with audio of Simmons’ pre-Super Bowl analysis.

Toward the beginning of the video, five clips of the Seahawks sacking Patriots quarterback Drake Maye play while Simmons is recorded saying, “The Seahawks don’t get a ton of sacks. I was going through their box scores. They had one sack against the Rams. They get pressure. They’re good at getting stops, but they are not overrunning you the way the Texans would. So, Drake Maye seems fine.
“I’m incredibly confident. (The Seahawks) defense is really good. I don’t think it’s great. I don’t think they can overpower us. It’s not one of those defenses that is going to get 10 sacks.”
The Seahawks sacked Maye six times.
Seahawks linebacker Uchenna Nwosu responded to Simmons and the compilation video, posting to X on Sunday: “Damn Bill Simmons you don’t know ball like you thought you did my guy (grimace emoji).”
Damn @BillSimmons you don’t know ball like you thought you did my guy 😬
