Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur hinted that another big change could be coming to the staff for 2026 after the team hired Jonathan Gannon to become his defensive coordinator.
Rob Demovsky of ESPN reported that LaFleur was still “working through” an additional coaching change.
Green Bay will indeed make another critical change to the staff this offseason.

Per the Packers, assistant head coach/special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia is stepping down from his position.
Special teams was costly for the Packers in their 31-27 loss to the Chicago Bears in the wild-card round. Kicker Brandon McManus missed two field goals and an extra point. Running back Josh Jacobs fumbled a kickoff return. The Packers allowed a 37-yard punt return off a 50-yard punt.
In the Bears’ 22-16 win over Green Bay in overtime on Dec. 20, the Packers gave up an onside kick late in the fourth quarter that allowed Chicago to tie the game.
Per a statement by LaFleur, the head coach expressed disappointment in losing Bisaccia.
“While we are disappointed to lose a person and coach as valuable as Rich, we respect his decision to step down from the Packers,” LaFleur said. “Rich was a tremendous resource to me and our entire coaching staff who had a profound impact on our players and our culture throughout the building.
“We can’t thank him enough for his contributions to our team over the last four years. We wish Rich, his wife, Jeanne, and the rest of their family all the best moving forward.”
Bisaccia thanked Packers players and fans for his time coaching in Green Bay.
“After taking some time to reflect over the last few weeks, I have made the decision to step down as the assistant head coach and special teams coordinator of the Green Bay Packers,” Bisaccia said. “I am incredibly grateful to Matt LaFleur, Brian Gutekunst, Ed Policy and Mark Murphy for their unwavering trust and support throughout my time in Green Bay.”
New Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken recently hired Byron Storer to be his special teams coordinator. Storer served as the Packers assistant special teams coordinator last season.
