Virgin Media has slashed the price of its Sky Sports package, offering what it claims is the 'lowest ever price' for its flagship Sport bundle. The deal sees the monthly cost drop from £56.99 to £52.99, saving customers £92 over a 24-month contract.

The package includes access to nine Sky Sports channels, covering Main Event, Premier League, F1, Golf and Cricket, alongside the newly launched digital channel Sky Sports+. Subscribers also receive over 200 standard TV channels, 516Mbps fibre broadband, and a complimentary Netflix subscription.

Virgin Media is sweetening the deal further by offering new customers a bill credit of up to £250 to cover any early termination charges from their existing provider.

By taking advantage of this offer, customers can sidestep the impending price hikes many TV and broadband providers are set to implement. Virgin has already confirmed its pricing for April, with the Sport bundle not scheduled to increase to £56.99 until April 2027.

Alternative Virgin packages featuring Sky Sports channels include the £64.99 Sport + Cinema bundle and the £76.99 Max Bolt bundle, which incorporate Sky Cinema, internet speeds reaching 1,130Mbps, and additional perks such as an O2 SIM card. Virgin customers can also add bolt-ons like TNT Sports (£25) and Premier Sports (£16.99) at reduced rates compared to subscribing directly.

For budget-conscious shoppers, Sky offers comprehensive sports coverage with its £35 Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle. Although this package includes approximately 100 fewer channels than Virgin's equivalent plan and doesn't include broadband as standard, it does come with complimentary Netflix and discovery+ access.

Those who choose to stick with Virgin Media's Sport bundle will be in good company, as the provider has garnered thousands of positive reviews on Trustpilot. One satisfied customer shared: "Recently installed TV and broadband, everything works great, no complaints, absolutely exceptional."

Another customer praised: "Virgin have been excellent, haven't had any issues at all. My other half is very happy because he can watch football without any frustrating buffering."

A more mixed four-star review read: "A few outages here and there, a bit pricey but overall the fastest connection you can get from a reputable source."

However, another five-star review stated: "Out of all the providers I've tried, Virgin is the only company that has given me a reliable and fast connection. I was with Sky and had constant issues. I'd recommend Virgin to anyone."
