Chelsea Injury News And Return Dates: Updates On Marc Cucurella, Filip Jorgensen & 4 Others

Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has been ruled out for up to four weeks with a hamstring injury.

The left-back was forced off at halftime against Leeds earlier this month, and he wasn’t included in the matchday squad for the 4-0 win over Hull City on Friday.

Cucurella could now miss up to five games over the next month or so, depending on when he returns to full fitness.

He may be absent for the league fixtures against Burnley (h), Arsenal (a), Aston Villa and Newcastle (h), as well as for the FA Cup fifth-round tie on 7th/8th March.

Expected Return Date – Saturday 21st March vs Everton (a)

Filip Jorgensen

Speaking before the victory against Hull, head coach Liam Rosenior provided a small update on the keeper’s fitness, but he did not provide any details on when we can expect to see him back in action:

“Filip’s not fully fit at the moment. He’s working really hard on his rehab.”

Jorgensen has not made the matchday squad since the 3-2 win against Napoli last month.

Expected Return Date – Unknown
