Cody Gakpo is a very busy man away from the football pitch and Liverpool FC.
Last year, the Dutch forward was officially unveiled as an ambassador for Bentley Motors UK and Europe. The luxury car brand clearly see Gakpo as a figure who embodies their values of performance, professionalism and refinement, and the partnership reflects his growing profile across the continent.
But commercial deals are only one part of his off-field story. Away from the cameras, Gakpo has been deliberately building a broader portfolio, taking a hands‑on interest in business and investment opportunities. He regularly uses his LinkedIn profile to highlight that side of his life, sharing insights on wealth management, entrepreneurship and personal growth.
And it looks like he is taking his investment seriously, with an idea to continue with it full time
Taking to LinkedIn, Cody Gakpo has explained that investing and wealth management is something he prioritises – and believes these steps are crucial for footballers to think about before their playing career ends:
“Growth is permanent. This is one of my core doctrines,” he wrote. “And it does not apply to football only, but also to everything that goes along with it. As I train to get better on the pitch and gain more experience, I also look for opportunities to professionalize my all-around setup.”
“It’s obvious that as a youth player, you do not care that much about the long term. The focus is on getting the playing career started. But once you’ve established yourself, it’s crucial to think about the future. I wanted to address aspects like wealth management early. For me, that’s part of being responsible, considering that a playing career is finite.”
“I knew that it was meaningful to bring in external support in this regard. I looked for two main criteria: high expertise and trust. Trust is essential in this business, and I like to keep my circle small and close. One of my partners: Elevate Football. They have been my partner since the early days.
