REPORT: Arsenal‘Seriously Considering’£87m Ballon d’Or Winner Amid Striker’s‘Discontent’

Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for a former Ballon d’Or winner who is reportedly unhappy at his current club.

The Gunners are heading into their next game against Wolves hopeful to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to seven points over Manchester City. They have clearly been the best team in England this year.

However, the Gunners have arguably been the best team in the Champions League too, as they topped the table, beating out the likes of Bayern Munich, PSG, Man City, Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Speaking of PSG, last year’s champions have a big problem at the moment, as reports have claimed that one of their best players is unsettled, and Arsenal are considering taking advantage of the situation in the summer.

Arsenal ‘seriously considering’ Dembele move

Ousmane Dembele won his first Ballon d’Or award last year, after a season in which he guided PSG to a Champions League title, and a Ligue 1 title under manager Luis Enrique.

However, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the French striker has a level of ‘discontent’ at PSG at the moment, and could be open to leaving the club in the summer transfer window, which could shake up the transfer market.

The same report claims that Arsenal are ‘seriously considering’ taking advantage of Dembele’s discontent, and could make a move to sign him, which would easily solve all of Arteta‘s striker issues. He has an estimated market value of £87m, but would likely cost a lot more based on the fact he is one of the world’s best.

This season, Dembele has still been a crucial player for PSG, scoring 11 goals, and providing seven assists for Enrique, but despite that, he was subbed off at half time against Rennes in a recent 3-1 defeat, despite scoring in the first half, a decision which clearly frustrated the 28-year-old Frenchman.
