Arsenal unveil country’s most expensive tickets in latest price hike

Posted on 18th February 2026

Arsenal fans have expressed their frustration after the club announced its latest round of price increases, which included a shocking £168 general admission ticket.

Despite record revenues, for the fifth consecutive year the north London club have put prices up across the board and introduced new price categories including its “A+” category band for Champions League quarter-finals and semi-finals ranging from £90 to £168.

Arsenal Supporters’ Trust (AST) say these new prices are the most expensive general admission tickets in the country and expressed their frustration at another year of price hikes.

“We firmly believe that with the football sector benefitting from ever-increasing broadcast and commercial revenues it is time to stop squeezing match-going supporters so hard,” they said.

“It is frustrating for fans to see football clubs and leagues do so little to combat increasing costs in the game, with ticket prices continuing to rise.”

Season tickets will be going up around 3.9%, meaning next season many seats will be well over £1,000. The Times reported that a seat in the centre of the lower tier will be increasing 27%, up to £1,281 from £1,011.

Like fan groups at other clubs, AST had asked Arsenal to freeze ticket prices again this year as the British economy continues to struggle and consumers remain under pressure from inflation across multiple sectors.

“We are disappointed that the FSA’s ‘Protect the Fans. Protect the Game.’ proposals calling for a ticket price freeze across all Premier League clubs has not been taken up,” AST say.

“Neither the Premier League nor Arsenal have seriously engaged with the idea that a freeze at all clubs would help stop the ‘arms race’.

“We now expect both Arsenal and the Premier League to give more explanation as to why they have chosen to ignore the compelling case for a price freeze put forward by the ‘Protect the Fans, Protect the Game’ campaign, which was overwhelmingly backed by supporters including all representative members of the Arsenal Advisory Board (AAB).”

In addition to calling for a price freeze at the club, AST also pushed back on the creation of the new higher category prices for Champions League knock-out games.

“This ticket category will see general admission ticket prices range from £90 to £168, making it by far the most expensive general admission price in English football,” say AST. “It puts Arsenal top of a table we don’t want to win and questions how serious the club is about its commitment to being together on a journey with supporters.

What does the FSA think?

As we enter the latter stages of the season, supporters across the country are bracing themselves for price increases at their clubs.

Back in November 2025 we co-ordinated the “Protect the Fans. Protect the Game.” action where supporter groups from all 20 Premier League clubs came together calling for a two-year halt on home ticket price increases and transparency on ticketing data.

In total 115 supporter organisations and Fan Advisory Boards have spoken with one voice in an attempt to stop further rises – in 2024/25 19 Premier League clubs put their prices up while 13 of the 20 clubs did the same this season.

Supporter organisations across the top-flight are increasingly concerned about pricing trends in the division. This is an issue clubs must take seriously, listen, and work with their supporters to ensure football is affordable.
