Simon Wiles offers glowing verdict of Josh Abe
Abe is a natural right-winger and has been a regular feature in the U18 Premier League this season.
In 10 matches, he has already found the back of the net eight times and provided one assist.
He scored in a 7-1 win over Burnley at the back end of January, following which Academy coach Simon Wiles praised Abe.
Wiles said: “You can see, you just keep seeing him growing with confidence and the quality that he’s got. He’s got a real knack for when he does come inside, hitting the back of the net. That is a real talent,” said the coach.
“So it’s really exciting working with him. Seeing him perform like that. I thought the second goal was fantastic with Luca [Eden] to place the ball over the top, brilliant. So yeah, Josh is in a really good place, as are Erik [Farkas] and Luca at this time as well, all doing really, really well.”
