Local Detroit radio station 97.1 The Ticket announced on Wednesday a multi-year extension of its broadcast partnership with the Detroit Lions, keeping the team’s broadcast rights on its longtime flagship partner.
Under their current deal, 97.1 The Ticket – a station under media conglomerate Audacy – broadcasts the Lions’ pre, regular, and post-season games. The Lions returned to the network in 2021 following a five-year partnership with WJR-AM.
Throughout the regular season, the radio station has been a weekly landing spot for Lions coach Dan Campbell and quarterback Jared Goff to share their candid thoughts following Lions games on the station’s morning and afternoon shows.
Audacy Detroit senior vice president and market manager said in a statement released on Wednesday, “In Detroit, the Lions represent our resilience and our pride. We are honored to extend our long-standing partnership with the team, serving as the bridge between the field and the fans.
“This extension underscores our deep commitment to the team and to delivering the most authentic and highest quality game-day experience to the dedicated Lions fans across the region and beyond.”
Per the release, 97.1 The Ticket will continue to air the Monday weekly “Lions Review Show” hosted by play-by-play voice for the Lions Radio Network, Dan Miller, and 97.1 The Ticket hosts Will Burchfield and Bob Wojnowski. For the 2026 season, the show will kick off its first broadcast at 6pm ET on Aug. 31.
“We are grateful to continue our partnership with 97.1 The Ticket as the radio home of Detroit Lions football,” Lions president and CEO Rod Wood said. “This is a partnership that ensures a strong connection to our fans through the most prominent sports station in the area for years to come.”
