This NFL star could be on the move: ‘Certainly possible’

The Las Vegas Raiders have no intention of trading Maxx Crosby, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter says the right offer could change that.

Schefter was a guest Wednesday morning on 97.5 The Fanatic’s “Kincade and Salciunas” show and shared what he heard about the possibility of a Crosby deal.

“I was told that the Raiders don’t want to trade him and that if they even contemplated it, it would take a Micah Parsons-type package,” Schefter said. “That’s what I was told. Do I think they’re getting two ones and a player? No. Do I think that they’re going to want to trade him? No. Do I think he’ll be traded?...It’ll change by the week, but it’s certainly possible.”

Schefter later said that any trade for Crosby would include at least a first-round pick. Parsons was sent to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks before the start of the 2025 regular season.

Crosby, who has been named to the Pro Bowl five times, had 10 sacks, 73 tackles, 28 tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles and an interception in 15 games this past season.

Still, Schefter believes the Raiders can point to how their future is lining up and use it as a selling point to Crosby to convince him to stay in Las Vegas.

“If you’re the Raiders, you can go to Maxx Crosby now and say, ‘Hey, we just hired this great young coach Klint Kubiak,’” Schefter said. “‘We’re going to have the No. 1 overall pick in Fernando Mendoza. We’ve got $90 million in cap space. You’re a Raider. Don’t you want to be here?’ That doesn’t seem like a hard sell to me.”
