Bad Bunny Lands Prominent Job After Super Bowl Halftime Show

Bad Bunny just keeps on finding new ways to level up his career.

Earlier this month, Bad Bunny headlined the halftime show for Super Bowl LX at Levi's Stadium. His performance averaged 128.2 million viewers, according to Nielsen's Big Data + Panel rating system. According to reports, his halftime show broke a record for most social media views in a 24-hour stretch.

Roughly a week after performing at the Super Bowl, it was revealed that Bad Bunny's "DtMF" reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. He actually performed that song before leaving the field at Levi's Stadium.

Now that Bad Bunny has reached the top of the Billboard Hot 10, he's apparently ready to tackle the film industry.

From the Super Bowl to the Silver Screen.

It was confirmed this Wednesday that Bad Bunny received the leading role in "PORTO RICO," a historical drama that'll be directed by René Pérez Joglar. He'll be part of a cast that includes notable actors in Javier Bardem, Viggo Mortensen and Edward Norton.

"I have dreamed of making a film about my country since I was a child. Puerto Rico's true history has always been surrounded by controversy," the director said in a statement. "This film is a reaffirmation of who we are - told with the intensity and honesty that our history deserves."

Bad Bunny is no stranger to appearing in notable films. In 2025 alone, he had minor roles in "Happy Gilmore 2" and "Caught Stealing."

We can't wait to see how Bad Bunny handles a leading role.
