Quenda has not played since Sporting’s 1-1 draw with Benfica in December because of a fractured metatarsal.
It was a major blow for the Portuguese club, but they and Chelsea have received some good news.

Geovany Quenda set to return in March
According to BBC Sport, Quenda has been doing his rehabilitation at Cobham ahead of his move to Chelsea in the summer.
The outlet states that the 18-year-old hopes to return from injury next month, meaning that he should get plenty of action between now and the end of the season and thus be physically ready to play for Chelsea when it is time to join them.
Quenda is going to have a lot of competition at Stamford Bridge. Pedro Neto, Estevao Willian, Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens are all part of Liam Rosenior’s squad.
No Chelsea winger has put in a better performance than Jamie Gittens this season!

The good news for Chelsea fans hoping to see Quenda play is that he has been used on both flanks at Sporting this term. That versatility could increase his chances of getting minutes in west London next term.
It has been claimed that Chelsea could sell Neto in the next transfer window, which would make life a bit easier for Quenda.

How Geovany Quenda was getting on before his injury
It is a shame that Quenda got injured, as he has shone in both the Portuguese League and Champions League this season.
In the former, Quenda scored one goal and provided four assists in 13 appearances before fracturing his metatarsal. As for Europe’s elite competition, the Portugal Under-21 international scored two goals and set up another two in five outings.
According to FotMob, Quenda creates 2.04 chances per 90 minutes, so he is quite a creative attacker.
