Barcelona are reportedly keen to renew Marc Casado’s contract at the club before the end of the season.
The midfielder is in the midst of a tricky season at Barcelona where he’s found minutes hard to come by. Casado’s only started eight times in La Liga and that situation looks unlikely to change in the coming months.
Yet there is an acknowledgement in the report that Casado may review his position at the end of the current campaign. While he’s a really useful squad player for Hansi Flick, competition for places means it’s going to be really tough to force his way into the starting XI on a regular basis.
There’s no doubt at all that Casado’s priority to stay but he’s going to have to decide whether he’s happy with the game time he’s getting at Barcelona.
