Prayers are pouring in for ex-NFL quarterback Brian Hoyer on Wednesday evening, February 18.
The former NFL quarterback, who played in the league from 2009-23, is mourning a sudden and tragic loss. Hoyer's sister-in-law, who is married to his brother, died suddenly. She leaves behind her husband and their four young children.
"It is with a heavy heart that I write this. On February 13th, my little brother lost his wife Carissa suddenly and unexpectedly. She leaves behind him and their four little girls, Josie, Lainey, Ellie, and Hattie. In an instant, he became a widowed father to four daughters under 12. If you can find it in your heart to help us help him and his girls through this unimaginable season, we would be forever grateful," he announced.
Hoyer, who made $46 million in his NFL career, set up a GoFundMe for his family, in the wake of a tragedy.
"Our hope is simple. We want Brett to be able to focus on loving his girls, grieving together, and beginning the long process of healing without the constant weight of financial stress," the GoFundMe reads.
"We cannot take away their pain, but together we can help carry the weight.
"If you are able, please consider giving whatever you feel led to give. Any donation, prayer, or share means more than words can express. Thank you for surrounding this family with love during their darkest days."
