Cowboys legend blasts San Francisco for ‘horrible’ Super Bowl 60

It is not a secret that Super Bowl 60 was surrounded by controversy. Starting from Bad Bunny’s halftime show to Sam Darnold losing money despite winning the championship, it had a bit of everything.

Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin wasn’t a fan of what he saw at Levi’s Stadium and its surroundings. The rivalry between the Cowboys and 49ers remains strong after many years, and Irvin continues to embody it.

In the wake of Super Bowl 60, Irvin didn’t mince words about the event. The three-time Super Bowl winner said the entire event, the city and the people were “blah.”

“This was a horrible Super Bowl. They should never ever, ever, ever bring the Super Bowl back to San Francisco,” Irvin said. “In all the years of going to a Super Bowl, this was the worst. It was blah in the city. It just wasn’t jumping. The people, blah. The buildings out here looked blah. When you go into an event it was blah.”

“I’m thinking there should be so much money out here because the tech is out here, but it all looked so blah… I couldn’t wait until this moment came to tell you damn! I believe this is the worst Super Bowl I have ever gone to,” Playmaker continued. “NFL, you cannot come back here again. You cannot have a Super Bowl back here again. NFC Championship game, if they earned it, OK.”

Irvin isn’t the only one calling for San Francisco/Santa Clara to be banned from the Super Bowl, but others have different reasons.

A couple of days after his Super Bowl 60 rant, Michael Irvin sent a message to the Cowboys’ impending wide receiver George Pickens. Irvin wants Pickens to stay in Dallas no matter what.

“I hope he is not a dummy,” Irvin said, per Chris Franklin of NJ.com. “I know he’s not a dummy, but I hope he doesn’t let this guy, any guy, persuade him. George has been looking for an opportunity like he got in Dallas with a team that can get him the ball, and now he has that. It’ll be ludicrous and stupid to say, ‘All right, now that I finally found it and I had my best year, I’m just going to get up and go.'”

The Cowboys have spent 30 years without a Super Bowl, and they think Pickens can be the key to returning to the big game.
