Hall of Famer had this major criticism of Super Bowl 60

Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin left San Francisco with one strong takeaway: the city should never host a Super Bowl again.

On his YouTube page, Irvin posted a video that addressed why he did not thoroughly enjoy his visit to San Francisco.

“They should never, ever, ever, ever bring the Super Bowl back to San Francisco,” Irvin said. “I’m sorry. In all the years of going to a Super Bowl, this was the worst. This seemed so blah. It was blah in the city. It just wasn’t jumping like you see other Super Bowls jumping.”

“It was blah,” Irvin continued. “The people, blah. The buildings out here look blah. When you’re going to events, it’s blah. I’m thinking it should be so much money out here because the tech is out here, right? But it all looks so blah, blah, blah.”

Irvin then went as far as to say the boring city foreshadowed a boring game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots, which the Seahawks ultimately won.

Having played for the Dallas Cowboys, Irvin went to San Francisco twice to play at Candlestick Park, where the San Francisco 49ers played before moving to Santa Clara, California. Irvin was complimentary of the city in terms of what he experienced in the past, but it still does not change his beliefs about the Super Bowl.

“I hope the people of San Francisco don’t hate me for it because I’ve had great times here and came here and played in some nice NFC championship games,” Irvin said.” But this? No more. You cannot bring that Super Bowl back here anymore. That’s just my thought.”
