The Las Vegas Raiders have a lot on their plates this offseason, especially as the team navigates using $91.5 million in projected cap space, according to OvertheCap.com, and what they want to do regarding star pass rusher Maxx Crosby and the ongoing possibility that he could be traded this offseason.

NFL insider Jay Glazer turned a lot of heads when he said he believes Crosby’s time with the Raiders is done. “They [Raiders] don’t want to do it. But he was just like, ‘I’m not going through another rebuild.'”

It would make sense for Crosby not to want to go through another rebuild with the Raiders. However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter just provided some great news for those who want to keep seeing Crosby in Silver and Black next season.

Adam Schefter Reveals Raiders’ Asking Price for Maxx Crosby

In an appearance on 97.5 The Fanatic, Schefter revealed the Raiders’ asking price for Crosby.

“I was told that the Raiders don’t want to trade him and that if they even contemplated it, it would take a Micah Parsons-type package,” Schefter said. “Do I think he’ll be traded?… It’ll change by the week, but it’s certainly possible.”

For context, the Green Bay Packers traded a 2026 first-round pick, 2027 first-round pick, and three-time Pro Bowler Kenny Clark in exchange for Parsons.

This is good news for two reasons. One, teams across the NFL who have been popular trade destinations for Crosby — the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions — likely won’t make the trade for Crosby if the asking price is two first-round picks and a premium player.

Two, if there’s a possibility that a team is willing to give the Raiders that kind of compensation, it’ll be a huge influx of draft capital along with an extremely good player for Crosby.

The Raiders Have a Solid Pitch for Crosby

If Crosby is still upset about the whole situation that unfolded at the end of the 2025 season, Schefter noted that the Raiders can still make a solid pitch to Crosby that things will be different next season.

“If you’re the Raiders, you can go to Maxx Crosby now and say, ‘Hey, we just hired this great young coach Klint Kubiak. We’re going to have the No. 1 overall pick in (Indiana quarterback) Fernando Mendoza. We’ve got $90 million in cap space. You’re a Raider. Don’t you want to be here?’ That doesn’t seem like a hard sell to me.”

Crosby has said in the past that he wants to retire as a Raider. Have his feelings changed since then? Maybe. But Kubiak and owner Mark Davis have made it clear that they want Crosby to remain in Las Vegas.

“We want him to be a part of our success going forward. There’s no doubt about that,” Kubiak said. He’s one of the best players in the NFL, so that’s a no-brainer to get to work with Maxx and see him continue to have success with his organization.”

“Maxx has been a great, great Raider,” Davis added. “He is a great Raider. He’s gone through a lifetime of development herefor seven or eight years, and he still is a Raider. So, it’s all good.”

It’s hard to envision Crosby wearing anything but a Raiders uniform, and Schefter’s latest comments should ease the minds of those concerned about Crosby potentially being traded away.
