The Cleveland Browns came into the offseason already aware their offensive line needed serious attention. Wednesday brought news that only reinforced that reality.
Wyatt Teller confirmed, in an emotional message on social media, that his tenure in Cleveland has come to an end. The veteran right guard became the second player to announce his departure publicly, following tight end David Njoku’s exit.

Teller’s message leaned heavily on appreciation rather than any sense of frustration with how things unfolded. In his post, Teller credited the franchise for believing in him at a critical point, explaining that their faith reshaped both his professional trajectory and his personal life.
“To the most loyal fans in the NFL, I hope y’all know that you have made a mark on my family’s life forever. I proposed to Carly on the 50 yard line at the stadium, bought our first home here, and proudly welcomed both of our babies to the world in Cleveland.”

“I’ve made friendships and connections on and off the field that will last far beyond the game of football. Our family is so blessed and grateful for everyone in Northeast Ohio who has supported and loved us these past seven years,” Teller shared. “While we are excited and look forward to what the future holds, Cleveland will always have a special place in our hearts. As always…Go Browns!”
Cleveland was not just another stop in his career. Over seven years, he developed close friendships and formed genuine connections throughout Northeast Ohio. Teller emphasized that his family remains deeply thankful for the way the community welcomed them from the start.

Cleveland acquired Teller through a trade with Buffalo in 2019, and he immediately became a dependable presence on the offensive line.

He’s been a cornerstone of the unit ever since, even overlapping with current head coach Todd Monken during that first season.
The Browns appears prepared to overhaul the group tasked with protecting the quarterback. All five starting offensive linemen are headed toward free agency, leaving the entire unit in a state of uncertainty.
