Thomas Hammock joins Seahawks coaching staff

SEATTLE (WPTA) - Former Bishop Luers football star and Indiana Football Hall of Famer Thomas Hammock has accepted a job as the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks’ new running backs coach.

Prior to taking the job in Seattle, Hammock spent the last seven seasons as head coach at Northern Illinois. The former Knight ends his time with the Huskies with a 35-47 record, including a win at Notre Dame in 2024 and three bowl appearances.

Prior to leading NIU, Hammock spent five seasons as the Baltimore Ravens’ running backs coach, where he worked alongside now-Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald.

While with Seattle, Hammock will also serve as a senior offensive assistant.
