Michael Irvin Goes on Fiery Rant Against NFL Over Super Bowl

The Super Bowl has come and gone with Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks pulling off a convincing win over the New England Patriots and second-year quarterback Drake Maye.

When all was said and done, the Seahawks were able to pull out a win by a final score of 29-13. It wasn’t the most entertaining Super Bowl ever, to say the least.

Outside of the noise surrounding the Bad Bunny halftime show, the game itself simply didn’t live up to the hype. From the very beginning of the game, Seattle was clearly the better team that night. The Patriots never had a chance.

Michael Irvin recently weighed in on this year’s Super Bowl. He wasn’t talking about the game itself, but rather the location that the NFL chose for the game. It was held in Santa Clara, California at Levi’s Stadium, which is the home of the San Francisco 49ers.

To say that Irvin wasn’t a fan of the big game’s location would be an understatement.

Michael Irvin Doesn’t Hold Back on the NFL Over Super Bowl Location

Here is what Irvin had to say the NFL about the Super Bowl in Santa Clara.

"This was a horrible Super Bowl. They should never ever, ever, ever bring the Super Bowl back to San Francisco. In all the years of going to a Super Bowl, this was the worst. It was blah in the city. It just wasn't jumping. The people, blah. The buildings out here looked blah. When you go into an event it was blah,” Irvin said.

“I'm thinking there should be so much money out here because the tech is out here, but it all looked so blah… I couldn't wait until this moment came to tell you DAMN! I believe this is the worst Super Bowl I have ever gone to… NFL, you cannot come back here again. You cannot have a Super Bowl back here again. NFC Championship game, if they earned it, okay."

Needless to say, Irvin would advise against the NFL going back to Santa Clara for another Super Bowl.

Between the game not being very entertaining and apparently the location being “blah” as well, it will be interesting to see if the 49ers end up hosting another Super Bowl anytime in the near future.
