KUPP PRAISES WOODS
The wide receiver position has been a problem for the Steelers over the last few years. They’ve struggled to find adequate depth at the position, and that’s held their offense back. Robert Woods was one receiver that they tried to use to fix that issue. The Steelers signed him last year, but he never ended up actually playing in a regular-season game for them. Woods recently retired, ending his career that started in 2013.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp, who was teammates with Woods with the Los Angeles Rams from 2017-2021, penned a nice message to Woods on Twitter. The two of them won a Super Bowl together at the end of the 2021 season, so that will always connect them. While Woods wasn’t great with the Steelers, he still put together a solid career.
Incredible career. Worth its weight in just sheer productivity, but holds its greatest value in the people that have benefited from being your teammate and learning the game from you.
Played the game the right way, whatever that means, but it means something to me because I… pic.twitter.com/ns9B01bN0I

EX-STEELERS DL ON INJURY
Demarcus Christmas was a defensive lineman with the Steelers in 2020 and 2021. He was originally a sixth-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2019, but he was released in the middle of the 2020 season, never appearing in a regular-season game for the Seahawks. Unfortunately, he also never appeared in a game for the Steelers, getting waived/injured in July of 2021.
Recently, Christmas gave a little more detail on his injury during an appearance on Rae’s Podcast on YouTube. He explained that he had torn his Achilles tendon, which soured his mood. That’s one of the worst injuries an NFL player can experience, so that makes sense. However, Christmas went on to say that the Steelers did a lot to help him and was very appreciative of their behavior during that situation.
NEW RAVENS OC ON LAMAR JACKSON
The Steelers aren’t the only AFC North team that underwent a coaching overhaul this offseason. The Baltimore Ravens moved on from John Harbaugh before Mike Tomlin stepped down, and they hired Jesse Minter as their new head coach. That also led them to bring in a new coaching staff, including Declan Doyle as their offensive coordinator.
That’s a pretty good job to get because the Ravens have Lamar Jackson at quarterback. Jackson is one of the most exciting players in the league, and he’s already won two MVP awards. He’s also not even 30 years old yet, and Doyle believes that Jackson has another level to reach, as Around the NFL shared on Twitter. If he’s right, that would be bad news for the Steelers. Jackson is already an incredible player.
