The Atlanta Hawks are set to waive Nikola Djurisic to create a roster spot in order to convert Caleb Houstan to a standard NBA contract.
The Atlanta Hawks have parted ways with their young Serbian prospect in order to create a roster spot for a two-way forward.
Atlanta Hawks / Schedule
The Hawks have officially waived 21-year-old forward Nikola Djurisic.
After being selected with the 43rd pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Djurisic spent the last two seasons in the G League, not making his NBA debut this season despite formally being assigned to the Hawks’ roster.
Playing for the College Park Skyhawks in the G League this season, he averaged 9.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.
After waiving Djurisic, the Hawks are converting the two-way contract of sharpshooter Caleb Houstan to a regular deal.
In 10 games with Atlanta this season, Houstan has averaged 2.3 points on 50% three-point shooting.
