Arne Slot press conference LIVE: Liverpool injury news vs Nottingham Forest, Szoboszlai contract

Liverpool is back in Premier League action on Sunday as it travels to Nottingham Forest aiming to give its Champions League hopes a boost.

The Reds face a fight with Manchester United and Chelsea to finish in the top five, which should be enough to secure a spot at Europe's top table next season.

Arne Slot will be speaking to the media today as he previews the weekend's game. Liverpool is still without a number of options in defense, and it doesn't look like it will be given any encouraging updates before Sunday.

Slot though may have plenty to discuss, with speculation surrounding the futures of Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, with the latter being sensationally linked with Manchester United.

What's more, Wayne Rooney has had plenty to say about the Reds' boss' future, and Slot may get his opportunity to respond today.

Slot will be delivering the latest injury news ahead of Sunday's trip to Forest.

Liverpool has been without Jeremie Frimpong, Conor Bradley, Alexander Isak, Wataru Endo and Giovanni Leoni in recent games, and it doesn't look like there will be any positive updates on any of them before the weekend.

Frimpong will probably be the first of those to return, [although there was no sign of him in training on Wednesday](https://www.liverpool.com/liverpool-fc-news/features/liverpool-injury-return-dates-frimpong-33448137), making it unlikely he will be in contention to face Forest.
