Thierry Henry reacts during Champions League show after Arsenal concede late equaliser to draw vs Wolves

Thierry Henry claimed the hate for Arsenal is ‘too much’ after the Gunners threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday.

While it was another damaging result for the Gunners faithful, it was something that brought plenty of excitement to rival fans. It’s starting to look like this could be another ‘almost’ season for Arsenal, who have now dropped 11 points in their last seven league games.

Henry, along with show presenter Kate Abdo, Jamie Carragher, and Micah Richards, was on duty on CBS Sports for Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League play-off coverage.

Arsenal’s match was played at the same time as the two UCL play-off games. The studio erupted when Carragher and Richards gave a loud shout after the league leaders conceded a late goal from a Riccardo Calafiori own goal.

Reacting to Carragher and Richards' celebration, Henry said:

“I said to you, this game was always going to be difficult. Did you see the hate that people have for Arsenal? The place went rocking. We heard 'Yeah!!!' Why so much hate? I said it can only be one thing. The hate we have for us guys is too much.”

The Gunners are looking for their first league title since the 2003/04 season. The pressure is now piling up on Mikel Arteta’s side after finishing as runners-up in each of the last three seasons.

“We dropped the level and got punished for it” – Arsenal star Bukayo Saka reacts after Wolves draw

Bukayo Saka admitted disappointment and felt Arsenal dropped the standards after they blew a two-goal advantage at the Molineux Stadium. The England international opened the scoring after five minutes to end his 15-game run without a goal for the club.

“It’s pretty flat,” Saka said post-match. “We’re pretty disappointed with the result, it’s the only way to describe it. I think it’s a game of two halves. In the first half we started so well but in the second half we dropped the level and got punished for it.”

On the upcoming north London derby clash against Tottenham Hotspur, Saka added:

“It was already a big game and now it’s still a big game. We just know these last few games that we have left, we need to win. It’s still in our control so just need to focus on that, fix the issues we’re having now and get back to winning ways.”

The Gunners remain top of the table but are now five points ahead of Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
