The news that Bukayo Saka has signed a new five-year deal with Arsenal means that any concerns about the future of their “Starboy” are now alleviated. And it means that he should continue to play in red and white until 2031, which should be the best years of his career.
The news that he had agreed a new deal was leaked in January, but has now been officially confirmed by the club.
And it also means that his new wage packet, rumoured to be in excess of £300,000 a week, has made him not only the highest earner at the club, but elevated him into the ranks of the one of the best paid players in the Premier League.
Saka has leapfrogged Kai Havertz who was previously the best paid player at the Emirates, with Gabriel Jesus just behind him. William Saliba, Declan Rice, Martin Ødegaard and Viktor Gyökeres are among the other top earners at the North London club.
