One of the most influential agents in the NBA right now, LeBron James's agent Rich Paul, gave his take on who the best NBA player currently is.

On The Game Over show with Max Kellerman, Paul stated that the league is being run by the current Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards, calling him the best player in the league right now.
"He is the best player. You can't watch a game on any given night against anybody and look at that game and say, 'Oh, that person is better than Anthony Edwards.' I love Jokic, but no," Paul stated.
This season, Edwards is having one of the best campaigns of his career, averaging 29.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, leading the Timberwolves to a 34-22 record so far in the Western Conference.
Last Sunday, Edwards also won the All-Star Game MVP, scoring 32 points over three games for the USA Stars as they defeated LeBron's USA Stripes to win the 2026 All-Star Game title.
