Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has been linked with a shock move to Manchester United this week, though it seems unlikely that anyone would sign off on such a deal.
Mac Allister has struggled for parts of this season but has shown signs of improving recently. And after the Old Trafford links emerged, his father was quick to play down the chances of an exit.
"Alexis is only thinking about Liverpool at the moment," Carlos Mac Allister told WinWin. "We are waiting for an offer to renew his contract. We will see what the club's plan is."

"No one would ever be that silly to ever say that. It would never work out, not in a million years."
Mac Allister is under contract at Liverpool until 2028. He, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch are all in the same boat, while Curtis Jones is only tied down until 2027.

Jones drew interest from Inter Milan in the January transfer window. While Liverpool had no interest in losing him, talks will need to progress to ensure that the Scouser's terms are extended.
Heading into the summer, ensuring that each of the four midfielders that Liverpool has used most this season are kept around for the long-term should be a major priority.
Liverpool.com says: Links with an exit for Mac Allister are inevitable as long as he hasn't signed a new contract. The best way to put an end to some speculation is by penning a new deal.
