Airline responds after Bills’ Dion Dawkins claims Rolex, Jewelry theft from luggage

Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins says a family trip to Florida turned into a nightmare he never expected. The nine-year veteran went public with accusations that JetBlue staff stole jewelry from his fiancée, Daiyaana Muhammad, during a flight from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale.

Dawkins had just closed out a frustrating season in Buffalo, one that ended with head coach Sean McDermott’s dismissal. Then this happened. The 31-year-old lineman paid $10,000 for first-class tickets so his family could travel in comfort.

Muhammad, a model, was missing thousands of dollars in jewelry by the time the plane touched down. Multiple Rolex watches were among the items gone.

Dawkins aired his frustration on social media and tagged the airline directly. Following that, a JetBlue spokesperson responded, per WIVB News 4.

In addition to conducting a comprehensive internal review, we will coordinate closely with law enforcement and other airport authorities to support their efforts and help ensure the issue is fully addressed.”

The post exploded almost immediately, pulling in many replies from people questioning how baggage gets handled when customers pay premium prices.

One fan wrote, “That’s terrible. When did Jet Blue go down in service and quality? Use to be my go to airline for quick business trips to and from NYC.”

Another chimed in with, “Let’s us know if they get you right or all the Mafia boycotting Jet Blue.”

Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins takes a breather on the Bech during first half action against the Kansas City Chiefs at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park on Nov. 2, 2025.

Dawkins is nine seasons into his career with the Bills and has been one of the most dependable players on the roster. He’s protected Josh Allen since 2017 and rarely misses games.

Dawkins has appeared in nearly every regular-season matchup during that stretch and played a major role in Buffalo’s multiple AFC playoff runs.
