Rosenior provides Cucurella injury update and issues demand to two Chelsea stars

Liam Rosenior has provided an update on Marc Cucurella ahead of Chelsea's clash against Burnley. Earlier this month, the 27-year-old defender suffered a muscle injury during the Blues' draw to Leeds United at Stamford Bridge.

Cucurella was forced to come off at half-time, and he was replaced by Jorrel Hato. After the game, Rosenior confirmed that the change was enforced and not tactical, with the Spaniard sustaining a hamstring problem.

He didn't travel to the MKM Stadium on Friday night, missing the west Londoners' win over Hull City in the FA Cup fourth round. Speaking to reporters at Cobham on Thursday afternoon, the Chelsea boss provided an update on Cucurella.

"I can't give an exact timeframe on Marc," said Rosenior. "He suffered a hamstring injury. It's a real shame because he's one of the best left-backs in the world. We have Jorrel [Hato] and Malo [Gusto] who can cover."
