Man City and Chelsea have been stepping up their attempts to sign Racing Genk attacking midfielder Konstantinos Karetsas, according to reports.
Croatian publication 24 Sata and Belgian newspaper Het Belang van Limburg (via Sport Witness) claim that the two Premier League clubs have been making calls about the player.
German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have been taking a keen interest in Karetsas’s performances too.

Some have said that the Greek international is the best player to come through the ranks at Genk since a certain Kevin De Bruyne.
What do fans need to know about Karetsas?
The teenager was born in Belgium, but he has opted to play for Greece, where his parents originate from.
Karetsas has already made 98 senior appearances despite only being 18 years of age. He has played 20 times for Yong Genk in the Challenger Pro League (Belgium’s second tier) and another 78 games for Genk’s first team.
The midfielder has had a breakout season, having scored 3 goals and provided 15 assists in 35 appearances. He is usually deployed as a no.10, but he can play off the right flank, cutting in onto his stronger left foot.
At international level, Karetsas scored his first goal in his second cap against Scotland during a 3-0 win in March last year. He has subsequently found the back of the net two more times for his country.
How much would Man City need to pay for the midfielder?
When Arsenal were linked with Karetsas last summer, it was reported that Genk would hold out for a fee between €30m (£26m) and €40m (£35m).
However, it is likely that valuation has gone up due to his performances this campaign and the amount of interest being shown in the player.
