The race for the 2025/26 Premier League title took a twist last night as Arsenal drew 2-2 against Wolves. The Gunners had taken a two-goal lead, but conceded late on in dramatic fashion.
An early strike from Bukayo Saka and a second-half effort from Piero Hincapie appeared to have the points wrapped up for the Gunners, but Hugo Bueno scored a fine goal to keep the home team's hopes alive. Tom Edozie then pounced on a mistake at the back to earn his team a draw in the 94th minute.
Club legend Thierry Henry was covering the Champions League action with CBS Sports, and so had to be informed when Wolves' second goal went in. His reaction was rather interesting.
Henry Tipped Arsenal to Struggle vs Wolves
With Henry's focus on the Champions League, Micah Richards informed his fellow pundits that he could hear somebody cheering. The Arsenal icon immediately shook his his head and said: "It can only be one thing."
Henry was right as it soon became clear that Wolves had levelled the scores late on. While the result came as a shock to most, the Frenchman appeared to have little faith in Mikel Arteta's men.
He explained that before the game, he'd told fellow pundits Richards, Kate Scott and Jamie Carragher he wasn't hopeful of a good result. He added:
"When we beat them at the Emirates, it was two own goals. It was going to be difficult for us today. This is exactly what I said. The only one who called it was me.
"I said to you, this game was always going to be difficult, always."
Interestingly enough, Richards looked just as upset as Henry, if not more so. Host Scott picked up on this, saying: “You look in despair, Micah, are you okay?”
Liverpool legend Carragher added: “Why are you upset? You’re Manchester City, aren’t you?” Richards laughed and replied: “I just want Arsenal to do well!”
His reaction has actually annoyed some City fans, who have been left wondering why a club ambassador would react that way to their title rivals dropping points.

Henry Has Slammed Arteta's Lack of Trophies at Arsenal
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta
Arteta has proven himself to be one of the best managers in world football, but a lack of trophies means his side are running the risk of becoming English football's nearlymen. On this front, Henry has spoken critically of the Spaniard in the past.
At the end of last season, he said: “Manchester United have played in five finals in the last five years, the United that everyone laughs at, whereas for Arsenal in the last three years of building, they’ve not reached a final.”
He added: "So, I do understand when people ask the question, ‘Surely you should compete for a trophy? Or at least, reach a final. This year, we didn’t compete with [Premier League winners] Liverpool. I don’t know why people think that but we didn’t compete, not once."
Arsenal will hope to finally win their first trophy under Arteta since the 2020 FA Cup this season, and have made the League Cup final, where they will play against Man City in March. But while they are still looking competitive in the league, Champions League and FA Cup, there is no garunetee they end their trophy drought.
Until the Gunners finally get their hands on some more silverware, Arteta will have to accept the criticism of his team. Results like they one against Wolves certainty won't help the club's reputation or title hopes.
