Erin Andrews has revealed the "guilt" she experiences from spending extended periods away from home due to her NFL broadcasting responsibilities.

The FOX Sports presenter, 47, ranks among the industry's elite, but her position requires extensive travel across the nation during the NFL season as she provides coverage of multiple games.

Though she remains deeply appreciative of the opportunity, Andrews finds herself with limited time alongside her son, Mack, who arrived in June 2023 through surrogacy with her husband, former NHL star Jarret Stoll.

After a decade-long struggle with infertility and IVF that concluded successfully nearly three years ago, Andrews is determined to maximize every moment, yet her challenging work schedule frequently restricts what she can accomplish.

Despite embracing motherhood fully and doing everything possible for her child, Andrews' situation has triggered feelings of "mom guilt", which she recently discussed candidly on the newest installment of her "Calm Down" podcast.

"I wanted to go home because I was having a lot of guilt, and I learned a lot about guilt this week," Andrews shared with co-host and FOX Sports colleague Charissa Thompson. "I just felt bad because I have been on the road so much, and I feel like this is supposed to be my time with my child."

Andrews revealed she had taken on a last-minute assignment the previous week, though its location near her Southern California residence allowed her to complete the round trip within a single day.

Yet the FOX NFL presenter noted that upon returning home, Mack was "in a really bad mood", implying it stemmed from her most recent work-related absence.

Still, with the NFL offseason currently underway, Andrews plans to dedicate extra attention to her family before the demanding schedule resumes later this year, and she garnered considerable encouragement from listeners who followed the podcast.

"Give yourself grace, and remember what an amazing role model you are!" one individual wrote on Instagram. "You're an amazing Mom. Be Kind to yourself," another added.

This marks not the first occasion Andrews has discussed the harsh toll her FOX Sports position takes on her personal life and marriage, having previously acknowledged she's frequently had to put work ahead of her personal relationships.

"This is what I say to everybody who asks about our job, and this is what one of my first professors said," Andrews shared on an earlier installment of her "Calm Down" podcast. "You gotta love what you do.

"Because I miss all holidays. I didn't get married until I was in my 40s. Not that that is going to be your route, but I live out of a suitcase. I miss a lot of stuff - I missed a lot of weddings, I miss a lot of events."
