Eagles All-Pro makes major decision about future with team

The Philadelphia Eagles received big news on Thursday as offensive lineman Lane Johnson revealed that he is returning to the team for the 2026 season.

Johnson [told](https://x.com/Jeff_McLane/status/2024515197990227987?s=20) Eagles beat writer Jeff McLane of his decision.

"Lane Johnson just told me that he’s officially returning for a 14th season with the Eagles,“ McLane posted on X.

Johnson has spent his entire NFL career in Philadelphia after being drafted by the [Eagles](https://www.pennlive.com/philadelphiaeagles/) with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

The right tackle has won two Super Bowls and has earned All-Pro honors five times, including a pair of first-team selections.

Johnson was banged up for much of the 2025 season and missed the final seven games of the regular season with a foot injury.

He worked to get back for the playoffs but was unable to go as Philadelphia lost to San Francisco 23-19 in a wild card game.

The Eagles were 3-5 without Johnson in the lineup last year and were unable to regain their dominance that saw them win the Super Bowl the previous season.

With Johnson set to return he now gets an opportunity to potentially end his career on a high note and the Eagles have a chance to bounce back from a tough ending to 2025.
