Klint Kubiak is bringing former Seahawks' coach Rick Dennison with him to the Raiders to be his new offensive line coach

The Las Vegas Raiders took their time when it came to finding their new head coach this offseason, but the gamble paid off, as they ended up landing former Seattle Seahawks‘ offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak. And while the Seahawks just won Super Bowl LX, Kubiak has barely had time to celebrate, as he’s had to quickly begin building out his coaching staff with the Raiders.

As a first-time head coach, Kubiak is looking to surround himself with folks who fit two pieces of criteria. The first involves him working with people he’s worked with in the past, and the second involves bringing guys to town who have a wealth of coaching experience. Unsurprisingly, Kubiak has been raiding the Seahawks’ coaching staff since bolting for the Raiders, and it looks like he will also be bringing longtime assistant coach Rick Dennison with him to Las Vegas.

Raiders Hire Rick Dennison to Be New Offensive Line Coach

Kubiak has long seemed like a head coach in waiting. The son of former Super Bowl-winning head coach Gary Kubiak, a strong season with the Seahawks saw the younger Kubiak finally get his first opportunity. However, being a first-year coach in the NFL is never easy, and Kubiak is going to have his work cut out for him when it comes to getting the Raiders back on track.

Building a strong coaching staff is going to be key for Kubiak. That led him to Dennison, who is one of the most experienced assistant coaches in the NFL. Dennison has been working in the NFL since 1995, when he first broke in with the Denver Broncos. Dennison has held a variety of roles, most notably working as the Broncos’ offensive coordinator on two different occasions, while also spending time with the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills as their offensive coordinator.

In 2025, Dennison worked with Kubiak as Seattle’s run game coordinator and senior offensive advisor, but it wasn’t the first time these two worked together, as they previously crossed paths during their time in Denver when they both worked for Gary Kubiak. Now, Klint will be reuniting with Dennison, as he will be joining his staff in Las Vegas as the team’s new offensive line coach.

“Raiders officially have named former Seahawks run game coordinator and senior offensive advisor Rick Dennison as their Offensive Line coach,” Adam Schefter of ESPN reported in a post on X.

Every move the Raiders make on the offensive side of the ball this offseason is going to catch attention. That’s because, with the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft, Las Vegas is widely expected to select star Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Fernando Mendoza. As a result, the Raiders are going to need to properly insulate their offense in order to ensure Mendoza has the best shot at succeeding right away.

While there’s a lot of excitement surrounding Kubiak’s arrival in Las Vegas, everyone knows that it’s going to take him some time to get this team back on track. Having patience is key, but if all goes according to plan, the Raiders have the sort of ammunition needed to turn things around sooner than expected. Strong hires like Dennison should only help things, and soon enough, all eyes will be on the team’s work in free agency and the draft.
