The Philadelphia Eagles star A.J. Brown hasn’t seemed too content with his current team and could be moving on to another team during this offseason, and one of those teams could be the New England Patriots.

During a recent conversation on the ‘Dudes on Dudes’ podcast on February 19th, Brown dropped a few hints about possibly joining Mike Vrabel’s Patriots; however, the Eagles star did spill the beans on not having the best impression of the head coach earlier.
“Vrabes is the type of coach who’s going to call on you in the meetings,” Brown explained. “He’s going to make sure you’re staying engaged and go over the keys of victory of the week. You’d better know the keys to victory like the back of your hand.”
“I used to write in my notebook, because at the time, I didn’t really like Vrabes. And he knows that,” Brown cracked up Gronk and Edelman in the confession. “I used to write, ‘I hate Vrabes. I hate Vrabes. I hate Vrabes.’ I was doing that to pretend I was taking notes—to look engaged. He was so hard on me, and I didn’t understand it yet. I even told him, ‘I’m humble already, you don’t got to humble me.”
“He holds every single player accountable from top to bottom. I don’t care who it is,” Brown said. “That’s who he is, and it makes the team come together because nobody’s bigger than the program. You have to respect it. I’m so excited for him; he deserves this opportunity.”
A recent report also revealed Brown’s spot on the important list of players the Patriots would be interested in for the trade block for the 2026 season
Brown has been in the league for 7 years now and is considered among the top wide receivers in the country, as he secured 1000 yards receiving in 2025.

“He’s gonna call on you in the meetings. He wanna make sure that you’re staying engaged… At the time, I didn’t really like Vrabe. I didn’t like him. I admit that, he knows that. So, [in my notebook] I used to write ‘I hate Vrabe.… pic.twitter.com/cJsA76eYMJ

The Eagles secured a 23-19 playoff loss against the San Francisco 49ers, during which Brown had recorded multiple drops and even included a heated exchange between the star wide receiver and coach Nick Sirianni.
After the game, Sirianni defended Brown and reaffirmed his faith in the star wide reciever saying that he has the best hands ever seen.
“He’s got the best hands I’ve ever seen. The way he catches the ball, the number of different types of catches that he’s made. When you get as many targets as he does, you’re going to have some drops,” said Sirianni, who noted the wind affected the ball in the air. “I know he will beat himself up on that.”
Brown won a Super Bowl title in its LIII season, denying the Chiefs their 3-peat.
