The hype surrounding Super Bowl LX between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks might not have been substantial, but the NFL still crushed it in the ratings department.
Nielsen announced last week that Super Bowl LX averaged 124.9 million viewers across NBC, Peacock, Telemundo, NBC Sports Digital and NFL+. That number made it the second most-watched Super Bowl, placing it behind last year's game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles (127.7 million viewers).
Well, it turns out the ratings for Super Bowl LX were just a touch off. An update from Nielsen revealed that 125.6 million people watched the final game of the 2025 season.
"This update is due to the fact that a Big Data provider did not properly collect data from its devices on February 8, which impacted the Big Data + Panel count," Nielsen said in a press release.

What about the halftime show?
Unsurprisingly, Bad Bunny's halftime show at Levi's Stadium averaged 128.2 million viewers. Although he didn't break Kendrick Lamar's record for most-watched Super Bowl halftime show, he set records on YouTube and Telemundo.
"Bad Bunny is, and I think that was demonstrated last night, one of the great artists in the world and that's one of the reasons we chose him," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said. "But the other reason is he understood the platform he was on and this platform is used to unite people and to be able to bring people together with their creativity, with their talents and to be able to use this moment to do that and I think artists in the past have done that."
Eventually, the focus will shift over to Super Bowl LXI in Inglewood, California. In the meantime, the NFL can celebrate its successful season.
