Report: Former Patriots Coach 'Among The Candidates' For NFC Team's Vacancy

Former New England Patriots special teams coordinator Cameron Achord is "among the candidates" for the same role with the Green Bay Packers, according to a report by Bill Huber of Packers on SI.

Rich Bisaccia recently stepped down from the position after four seasons with the team.

Achord joined the Patriots as their assistant special teams coach in 2018 and held the gig for two seasons. The 39-year-old Achord was then promoted to special teams coordinator ahead of the 2020 campaign when Joe Judge left New England to become the head coach of the New York Giants.

The former served in that role for four seasons but wasn't retained when the Patriots hired Jerod Mayo as their head coach in 2024.

Achord was the Giants' assistant special teams coach for the last two seasons but will not return as a part of new head coach John Harbaugh's staff.

Huber reported on Thursday that the Packers have also interviewed former NFL linebacker and special teams player Kyle Wilber for the post. Wilber spent the 2025 campaign as the New Orleans Saints' assistant special teams coach.
