Head coach James Borrego provided an encouraging update on the veteran guard's status.
"I expect in the next week he'll be back on the court playing NBA games," Borrego said, via Rod Walker.
If all goes as planned, Murray could return during a four-game stretch that includes matchups against the Golden State Warriors (Feb. 24), the Utah Jazz (Feb. 26 and Feb. 28), and the Los Angeles Clippers (March 1).
Murray reportedly hoped to be traded before the February 5 deadline, but according to NBA reporter Evan Sidery, no team showed interest in taking on his sizable contract.

The 2022 NBA All-Star averaged 17.5 points per game in his first season with New Orleans in 2024-25.
He also missed 17 games last year due to a broken hand. Prior to joining the Pelicans, Murray played for the San Antonio Spurs and the Atlanta Hawks.
The Pelicans currently are 15-41 on the season.
