The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to operate on Aaron Rodgers’ time. The four-time MVP left the door open for a return to Pittsburgh for a 22nd NFL season, but has yet to make a decision on his future. With the NFL Combine mere days away, and the new league year beginning March 11th, the Steelers are in no-man’s land when it comes to the quarterback position - and Rodgers may not be close to making his choice.
During an appearance on ESPN’s _[Get Up](https://www.espn.com/watch/series/e114d885-c579-4bfb-b35c-4fc63c302d00/get-up-)_, NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reports it could be months until we know what Aaron Rodgers decides to do.
“The Steelers remain open to a potential Aaron Rodgers reunion, but they’ve got to figure out if he wants to play or not yet,” Fowler reports. “That could take months.”
The Steelers reportedly gave [Rodgers a deadline of one month](/pittsburgh-steelers-news/165871/steelers-reportedly-give-aaron-rodgers-deadline-to-make-decision-mike-mccarthy) to make his decision, which was reported at the end of January. Should that be the case, and Pittsburgh stays true to its deadline, Rodgers has just over a week to figure out if he wants to play in Pittsburgh in 2026.
