Chiefs' Chris Jones rips ESPN analyst over Travis Kelce comments

The future of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is a hot topic, with fans and media alike having differing opinions on what the future Hall of Famer should do.

Some think one more go around with Patrick Mahomes is in order, while others think that Travis has done everything there is to do in the NFL, so riding off into the sunset is the way to go.

And that was what ESPN's Mike Tannenbaum thinks, as he stated on ESPN that the Chiefs should move on from Kelce in an appearance on SportsCenter.

Well, Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones saw this clip on X and offered up his response, which left no doubt what he thought of Tannenbaum's comments.

What should Kelce do?

If I'm being honest, I can see it both ways.

What he's done for the franchise allows Travis to make his own decision about his future, and if he returns, great. He still led Kansas City in all major offensive stats in 2025. In fact, his 2025 season was better than his 2024 season.

Then if he wants to retire, then great. He's earned that right as well.

So, either way, Kelce won't be making a wrong decision on his future; just don't tell the Chiefs what they should do, Mr. Tannenbaum.

Because Mr. Jones isn't a fan of it.
