In their PR release, the Wizards announced that Trae Young (right knee MCL sprain and quad contusion) has significantly progressed in his recovery. He will ramp up in his on-court activities, and his status will be provided after a week.
Meanwhile, Anthony Davis (left hand ligament damage) hasn't been cleared for any basketball activity yet. Washington will release further updates in the next two weeks.
Young, who was acquired from the Atlanta Hawks for C.J. McCollum and Cory Kispert, only played 10 games this season. He is averaging 19.3 points and 8.9 assists.
Meanwhile, Davis is averaging 20.4 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 20 games before the Dallas Mavericks dealt him in a blockbuster trade with the Wizards.
With a 14-39 record, the Wizards currently have the worst record in the East.
